With its Mediterranean location and Moorish Andalucian style architecture, the resort of Port El Kantaoui is the height of Tunisian chic. Purpose-built to cater for up market tourists, the resort's centrepiece is an impressive 340 berth marina that regularly harbours the yachts of the Mediterranean jet set.

Originally developed in 1979, the 'Garden Port' has been meticulously designed in the style of the picturesque village of Sidi Bou Said, near Tunis. The result is a luxurious holiday resort in an enchanting setting, encompassing Andalucian styled cobblestone streets, arches, lamp-lit quays and dazzling white buildings.

Port El Kantaoui's main hub of holiday activity is undoubtedly the marina, hosting a variety of cafes, boutiques and souvenir shops that can be perused at your leisure whilst enjoying a stroll in the Tunisian sun. The marina also provides the focal point for the holiday resort's nightlife with lively bars and restaurants offering a range of local and international specialities.

Away from the popular Marina, the holiday resort offers a variety of activities and sporting facilities that will appeal to all kinds of holidaymakers. Golfing enthusiasts will no doubt appreciate the impressive 36-hole PGA approved championship golf course built amidst the native cacti, palms and eucalyptus trees. If golf isn’t your game, you will also find paragliding, scuba diving, horse riding, bowling and floodlit tennis to keep you occupied.

While Port El Kantaoui may not provide a strictly authentic flavour of Tunisia, its tourist friendly environment is a safe and familiar setting from which to start discovering African holiday destinations. For those who wish to experience a more traditional Tunisian culture, the city of Sousse, complete with bustling souks, busy fishing harbour and Great Mosque, is located just 10 minutes away and easily reached from the resort by taxi.
